“Noveltyville is a design company that uses print-on-demand technology to create unique products.”

About Print-On-Demand
Say you’ve got a wedding coming up. And you want to create custom invitations. Then you would go on to a print-on-demand (POD) shop, online or offline, and get them to create your invites the way you like them.
Print-on-demand simply means that you pick the design, and the product to stick it to.
Now, different POD sites have their own way of doing things.
Some want you to pay for the products upfront, which means you now have stock lying around that may or may not get sold. And they may not offer support or returns for your customers, so you’ll have to deal with that too.
Other POD companies rely on dropshipping, which means you place your design on readymade products, and only pay for the product and printing costs once a customer makes a purchase. If you want to go down this route, you’ll need a positive bank balance to keep up with the sales. The problem is that you could end up being more successful than you can afford, since you’ll have to fork out before the customer’s payment has been cleared. Some dropshipping POD companies offer customer support and returns (usually for a fee), others do not.
The third option, which Noveltyville uses (and is a big fan of), is the royalties option. You provide the design, the POD company does the rest, and you just focus on promotions. No need to worry about finding the right products, shipping, packaging, customer service, returns…nada. You may get less in return (say, 10-15% of the sales price), but you also avoid a lot of hassle.
What is Noveltyville all about?
Novelty designs and items are things that people often buy as:
- Joke gifts to make fun of someone (who hopefully has a sense of humour)
- Gifts for friends, family and colleagues. Usually to highlight a personality trait (procrastinator) a hobby (fishing) or how they feel about them (world’s best dad).
- A way to express themselves and parts of their personality (“I love cats – people are too much work”).
The last group is the one Noveltyville is most focused on. People that don’t really feel that clothing giants like H&M have anything to offer them. They’re probably not frequent visitors to IKEA either. Their personality and tastes fall out of the mainstream, and they’re always on the lookout for something different.

The USP and SOUL of Noveltyville
When it comes to promotions, there is a lot of talk about a product or company’s Unique Selling Point (USP). What is it about YOU and YOUR PRODUCTS that make people interested in buying from you and not the competition?
The USP of Noveltyville is reflected in the tagline: Fun, stylish, and relevant novelty designs.
In other words, people with conservative tastes and that have no sense of humour are not our best customers.
We attract oddballs!
And we love that.
As for the soul of Noveltyville, that can be summed up in three words: Identity – Attitude – Humour.
At least ONE of these three will be reflected in every design that we put out as Noveltyville. No simple geometric patterns or floral stuff that only looks good, or other imagery that just happens to be trending. There has to be a connection behind the design to the soul of the brand.
How will this benefit you as an affiliate?
Now that you know the ingredients in our secret sauce, you can use these insights to target the right audience with your affiliate promotions.
Don’t waste time, effort and cash on running after people who are not even remotely interested in what Noveltyville has to offer. You know, the sad sacks who lack a funny bone, or the ones who are terrified of being noticed and just want to melt into the wallpaper.
As for personality traits, there are certain types that seem to like us more than others. Usually, they are liberal, open minded, curious, adventurous, and have a sense of humour.
And of course, each unique design tends to appeal to a certain subset of people, like fishermen, cat lovers, geeks etc.
When we put all these insights together, we can create a recipe that you can use to target the right people.
Here is a quick recap of the Noveltyville recipe:
- Fun, stylish and relevant novelty designs.
- Great gifts for friends, colleagues, and family.
- Express your personality and uniqueness – Your identity, attitude, and sense of humour.
Now that we have been formally introduced…
